After an extensive career in Law Enforcement, specifically with the renowned Metropolitan Police and Scotland Yard as a police officer, Martin immigrated to Canada in 1988 and soon after began a new career in career management.

Some interesting clients have included the brother of the Sultan of Oman, eleven Provincial and Federal Government Ministers, two CEO's of Canada's largest financial institutions and a former nun who after 29 years decided to leave the ministry and is now a successful business woman.

Martin is continually developing partnerships with many Executive Search and Outplacement Firms in Toronto to aid clients in promoting themselves in today's competitive marketplace. In 2002 Martin was recruited by ExecuNet to facilitate their monthly Toronto networking sessions which helps executives exchange perspectives to expand and enhance their professional network.

During the last two years, job and interview tutoring has become an integral part of Elite Résumés. Martin is trained in administering several assessment tests used to identify specific skills and assist in matching these skills to jobs. His empathy and compassion, combined with his excellent communication skills enable him to work with all levels of individuals. Martin is adept at helping people discover their strengths, assets and attributes.

Martin's résumés and cover letters have appeared in twelve books including "Cover Letter Magic," "Résumés for Managers and Executives", "Résumés for Manufacturing Careers," and "Résumés and CVs for International Jobs", 11 more résumés will be published in a variety of upcoming books.

In January 2002 Martin was interviewed by Natalie Marconi, CHCH Television, Hamilton for the "Doing Business" segment which aired during the 6 and 11 pm news. Martin appeared in July 2001 on 'Workology', a new CBC Radio program based on the career industry.
