By registering with jobhawk.com, you consent to your personal information being shared with third parties in Canada or other countries for the sole purpose of completing your requests.
In addition, we may disclose personal information collected in our database to a third party who acquires all or the majority share of Jobhawk Inc.'s business. In the event of a bankruptcy, Jobhawk Inc. or its trustee may dispose of its database information in a transaction approved by the bankruptcy courts.
Jobhawk Inc. will make every reasonable effort to ensure the Personal Information provided to us is used solely for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy. However, Jobhawk Inc. is not responsible for any improper use of information obtained from our database that is beyond our reasonable control.
Accuracy
We will maintain your personal information in as accurate, complete and up-to-date form as is necessary to fulfill the required purposes.
Jobhawk.com allows you to create, edit or delete your personal information at any time. To edit or delete information, simply login to your account, and you will find options for the information you have submitted. Résumés that are deleted from the jobhawk.com database are permanently removed and are not recoverable. Backup systems do, of course, maintain all records for a limited period of time in case of a system failure.
If you would like to confirm if we have a record containing your personal information, please send an e-mail to support@jobhawk.com, indicating all e-mail addresses that you may have given us.
Safeguarding Customer Information
We will protect your personal information by security safeguards that are appropriate to the sensitivity level of the information.
Where jobhawk.com considers it appropriate, the Website uses encryption and/or authentication tools, among other methods, to protect certain web-based personal information.
We use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software to encrypt your credit card information before transferring it to Internet Secure. Internet Secure then forwards the encrypted information for credit card clearing. For your security, your credit card number does not display on our order confirmation screens.
Jobhawk.com employees are bound to use your personal information only for the purposes for which it was intended as described in our "Privacy Policy" and "Terms of Use". Any misuse of such information would result in severe disciplinary action.
Résumé Privacy
As a job seeker, you may place your résumé in our database in three ways:
- You can allow your résumé to be fully searchable by all employers/recruiters who have purchased our services.
- You can choose to keep your résumé confidential so that your personal contact information and current employer are not visible.
- You can store your résumé in our database and use it to apply for specific jobs.Your résumé will not be searchable by employers/recruiters.
By registering with jobhawk.com employers/recruiters agree to jobhawk.com's "Privacy Policy" and "Terms and Conditions". In so doing, employers/recruiters are restricted from using your résumé other than for internal recruiting purposes. The Terms and Conditions also restrict employers/recruiters from disclosing your résumé to additional parties, except to present you as a candidate for a specific job posting.
Employers/recruiters are further required to enter into an agreement with the third party requiring that the third party use your résumé solely for a specific job posting and within the third party's organization.
Although we make every reasonable attempt to limit access to our searchable database to only reputable paying employers/recruiters, (or where circumstances warrant it, law enforcement agencies), we cannot guarantee that other parties will not unlawfully gain access to our Website's database.
At any time, you may delete your résumé from our database. Keep in mind, however, your résumé may have already been downloaded to the files of employers/recruiters who have paid to access our searchable database as well as to other third parties who gained access to the database.
Occasionally, you will see links on jobhawk.com where you can apply to specific job postings. If you are not required to login to your jobhawk.com account with your username and password, the posting is directly to the employer/recruiter, and not controlled by jobhawk.com. Under these circumstances, jobhawk.com's "Privacy Policy" does not apply and you should refer to the privacy policy of the employer or recruiter.
Openness
We will make information available to you concerning the policies and practices that apply to the management of your information.
Client Access
Upon request, Jobhawk will inform you of the existence, use and disclosure of your personal information, and you will be given access to it. You may verify the accuracy and completeness of the information, and you may request that it be amended, if appropriate.
Handling Customer Complaints and Suggestions
You may direct any questions or enquires with respect to our Privacy Policy or about our practices by contacting the designated person(s) accountable for privacy (see 'How to Contact Us' below).
